I have a lot of things on my plate. For example, I have over thirty posts in draft form that I am working on. Though some are just a few lines indicating the key theme, almost all are I think worth completing.
I need to give highest priority to sharing what I learned at the recent K12 Open Minds Conference, and mutually exploring the *many* opportunities that came out of it.
I also have a yen to do some serious programming, something I haven’t done for almost five years now.
I plan to do it in Python, both because I want to learn more about it, because it is uniquely fitted for this project, and because my last programming was done in Java, a language I plan to never use again unless doing so is a condition of employment.
We will do our work in the open, on the internet –where the wild programmers are –working at night in our programming kitchen, on our own time and on our own dime, cooking up some code … so the ‘”wild rumpus” can begin.
So if you’re interested in having some fun, please indicate so by posting a comment.
By the way, only comments that contain the name of a certain author will be considered relevant. He is an author of children’s literature, one of the most demanding kinds of writing.
If there is sufficient interest, by which I mean at least eight relevant comments are posted, then I’ll describe the project, and see if anyone is left willing to join me in starting a community.
