The Bard On Programming

Today, April 23, is Shakespeare’s birthday.

Though not a programmer, The Bard was prescient in writing the three lines in all his works that contain the word “bugs”:

CYMBELINE, Act IV, Scene III:

Posthumus: The mortal bugs o’ th’ field.

HAMLET, Act V, Scene I:

Hamlet: With, hoo! such bugs and goblins in my life-

ROMEO AND JULIET, Act I, Scene I:

Petruchio: Tush! tush! fear boys with bugs.

Topics: shakespeare, programming
